The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a DENTAL HYGIENIST to work under general supervision of the attending dentist and according to established policies and procedures, renders routine dental hygiene care such as scaling, root planning, curettages, cavitrons, polishing, applying sealants and administering fluoride treatments. Takes, develops and mounts radiographs of patient's teeth as necessary. May perform various administrative and clerical duties in support of department operations. Responds to the unique needs of all patients. Will serve registered patients of the 1917 Dental Clinic at UAB.
(Hourly Rate: $22.90 - $37.25)
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Dental Hygiene required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed with a Dental Hygiene License from the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners required.
The ideal candidate will have an attitude of service. We are looking for some who genuinely wants to help patients and work as part of a team. Someone who is organized and able to take initiative would be a great fit for this position.
