Job Duties: The purpose of this position is to function as a dental hygienist in the School of Dental Medicine clinics and Community Service Learning Centers.This position is located in the Community Service Learning Center in Elizabeth City.This position will be under the direct supervision of a qualified dentist to perform the following: 1) Review and revise patient histories and to record patient's vital signs; 2) Help to acquaint patients with preventive oriented practice philosophy; 3) Chart existing restorations on new patients, as well as the existence of clinical, present disease; 4) Perform thorough oral prophylaxes (cleanings) on scheduled patients which include proper use of ultrasonic cleaning devis
