The University of Michigan School of Dentistry invites applications and nominations for a full-time clinical track faculty member at the Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level within the Division of Periodontics in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine (POM). Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with candidate's qualifications and experience.Â
POM has an active mentorship program and provides ample opportunities for career development and national/international networking. Opportunities are also available for participation in either intramural faculty practice or extramural practice. Candidates must have a certificate in periodontics from a US CODA-accredited program (with a Master's/PhD or equivalent degrees) and the ability to be licensed in the State of Michigan. Board certification by the American Board of Periodontology is required for this position.
Qualifications include proven evidence-based teaching skills predominantly in graduate education settings, clinical proficiency in periodontics, and record of scholarly activity. Candidates shall demonstrate a passion for graduate-level education, exhibited by previous graduate clinical teaching experience and the desire to exercise interdisciplinary collaborations. Candidates should have an outstanding record of accomplishment in teaching, research/scholarship, and service.
