Responsibilities
The Periodontics faculty member will serve in the Department of Diagnostic, Surgical, and Integrated Sciences. Core responsibilities will include didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction and curriculum development; mentoring pre-doctoral students; participation in college, university, and community service; and patient care in the Oral Health Center. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for Periodontics and dental education. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to contribute to and participate in a humanistic and inclusive environment of learning and discovery.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Interviews of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Qualified candidates must possess a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree, or international equivalent, have completed a CODA-accredited graduate program in Periodontics and be eligible for or Board Certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology. The candidate must be eligible for and have active Maine Board of Dental Practice licensure (full/faculty) by the position start date.
