The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks applications for a full-time (12 months) tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the rank of associate/full professor in the Division of Periodontology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join an active academic program and contribute to the mission of the College and the Division of Periodontology through the pursuit of research, teaching, and service. The primary responsibilities of this position will be the scholarly pursuit of research and extramural funding, with other duties including support of the overall mission of the division through teaching and service, participation in university and college governance, contribution to the college’s continuing education programs, and practice in the college’s affiliated intramural Dental Faculty Practice. Salary, academic rank, and startup package are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent degree and a certificate of advanced education in periodontics from a CODA-accredited program. Board certification by the American Board of Periodontology is highly desirable. Preference will be given to individuals with a PhD or other advanced degree, evidence of an established research program, and prior success as an independent investigator. Candidates also must be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. Information on state dental licensure is available at dental.ohio.gov/Licensure/Dentist.
