Dental Hygienist
The Dental Hygienists at the full performance level work independently receiving little to no guidance from more experienced staff for complex patient issues. Hygienist will plan, coordinate, and conduct preventive oral health programs for various patient groups; develop and modify instructional methods; and develop methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive dentistry program. The Hygienist works closely with and under the general supervision of a dentist or dental specialist. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
