This position is a Supervisory Medical Technician in the Communication Unit (phlebotomy/processing/referral testing) at the San Francisco VA Health Care System. The incumbent is responsible for the direct management of the staff within the Laboratory Medicine Service's Communication Unit, which is made up of 3 GS-7 Lead Medical Technicians and 14 GS-6 Medical Technicians. There is additional technical and management oversight for 11 contractors located in the community-based outpatient clinics.
