The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time clinical-track faculty member in the Department ofPeriodontics. Major responsibilities include: clinical and didactic instruction at pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels; supervision and mentoring of pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students; professional services; and participation in the intra-mural multidisciplinary faculty practice plan. The position is available ASAP; screening begins immediately. Applicants must have: D.D.S./D.M.D. or equivalent; by time of appointment, completion of an ADA-accredited advanced education program in Periodontics; clinical and didactic experience in all aspects of Periodontology and Oral Implantology; and eligibility to obtain a sedation permit in the State of Iowa. Desirable qualifications include: Board certification/eligibility in Periodontics; record of effective teaching; record of significant service and leadership achievement in the specialty of Periodontics; achievement in basic and/or clinical research relevant to Periodontology and/or Oral Implantology; and experience in implant provisionalization.
